At last – we Brits have proper, hot, wonderful sunshine!
I don’t have to shiver in the morning. I can remember what it’s like to go on holiday. I have tan lines again. This is wonderful. The world is happy.
Please forgive me if I fail to tweet, facebook or blog in the ensuing weeks and months; I love the sun; the crazy feeling of mid Summer, and after such a long Winter, I’m going to enjoy every minute.
I’ve spent this weekend screaming in the garden as frogs leapt away from the lawn mower (thankfully their legs were still intact – I did check, check and recheck); nursing my sunburn (should really know better by now); scaring my neighbours by lounging on my blow up camp bed covered in rugs bedouin style while I was scantily clad in a bikini that’s far too unstructured for someone my age; attending bbqs that I don’t have to do anything other than turn up and have fun; playing bat and ball with my daughter and screaming with laughter until sunset…or maybe a tad after.
Who loves the sun?

Everyone goes crazy when the sun comes out. We are enjoying it too. Picnic on the Thames yesterday, trying to catch May flies…

I do like it but I can’t sit out in it anymore. Guess I’ve just got used to the northern temperatures.

Great Post. I like how you ezmahsipe that it does take work, it doesn't just happen with pixie dust.
