I’m really looking forward to Cybermummy next month as I’ll get another chance to meet up with all the fab bloggers who have one thing in mind; having a natter and a gossip learning how to do it better.

What’s really important about this event is that hardworking Mummy (and Daddy bloggers) will be travelling from all over the country to make the event. It should be a huge eye opener for anyone that’s involved in it from a professional capacity; by that I mean the marketing and PRs that are going along. Social media is not just happening in the trendy warehouse spaces occupied by media companies in Shoreditch and Soho – it’s a living breathing lifestyle ethic for hundreds, if not thousands of bloggers in the UK. It’s a very important part of our heritage as women too, to have a voice through the written word. We don’t have to be force fed by the media any longer – we can create our own which is not only empowering but pretty life changing too.

Blogging is hard work but fun and it’s when I’m hanging out with my ‘chick-clicknorati’ that I really feel like something great is happening.

So it’s no surprise, that before heading off to drink a few too many fancy cocktails, I’ll be live blogging from the conference and obviously tweeting away too – you know it might just be a good excuse to get an iPad…
