Overhauling your life is all about stepping outside of your comfort zone and doing different things. Today, I did that very thing.
I spent a great afternoon with Saima who owns The Hampstead Kitchen – a most fantastic start up business which cooks up amazing food according to what you like, where you like and when you like. She attended one of my social media training courses recently and is now marketing successfully using Twitter and Facebook to get clients. Like anyone who is starting a business, getting advice and sharing experiences is really important, Saima calls this ‘organic networking’ which is the perfect antidote to this uber digital age we’re living in, life should not be spent gazing at a computer screen, but it’s easily done.
Saima wanted some more advice on blogging for her new business so we spent a couple of hours looking at the different options available, how to make the most of them and what would work best for her. Cooking such fantastic food means she will definitely not be short of colourful and dazzling imagery to add to her blog.
She cooked me the most fantastic lunch – slow roasted baby chicken on a bed of long grain rice with fennel, pomegranate seeds, rose petals and pistachio. There was a gorgeous red onion and spinach dip, with Lychee juice on the side – the perfect Spring platter.
