Who needs friends? We all do.
Feeling good every day has a lot to do with being in touch with people you love, who you have shared experiences with both good and bad and you can continue to share your lives with in any way possible. I have two very amazing friends who I have known for a very long time from growing up, to having children and we don’t have time to see enough of each other. Even though we all live in London, we probably only get together properly two or three times a year, and when we do it’s life’s greatest tonic.
We met this evening and had the most wonderful time; among many of the things we talked about were old times, relationships, fashion, parenting and politics; giggles, sniggers, tears and laughter ensued over wine, olives, snails, risotto and steaks.
And while I had to leave early (grrrrr), this was the kind of evening that will keep me in good stead for a while. My alcohol-dairy-carb-free overhaul days can surely wait…
If you do one thing on a life overhaul, meeting your favourite friends should be top of the list.
