You don’t need to resort to drastic measures for a life overhaul. Sometimes, it’s the small things which can really make a difference and I’ve been trying three things out over the last couple of weeks.
This is the new wonder drug in our house, well it’s not really a drug, it’s much less exciting, but it packs a powerful, energising punch for such a tiny package of perfection. It’s Vitamin D in a tiny spray can and tastes divine and it’s so easy to remember first thing in the morning. After a long winter and no sunshine, I think we’re all in need of a Vitamin D pick me up, and this is just the ticket. It’s safe for kids too.
The other two health wonders are easy to pull together; the first is just a lovely way to drink your 8 glasses a day, and the second, packed full of nutrients and 3 of your 5 a day. They’re so easy to prepare, they don’t even need to be cooked, just sliced, diced and served:
- slices of the humble cucumber and lemon added to a large jug of water be imbibed throughout the day
- a portion of fresh home-made coleslaw packed full of vitamin rich grated carrot, sliced red and white cabbage, a squeeze of lemon, a dollop of low cal mayo and a sprinkle of pine nuts with a meal daily
Who needs Goop when good living comes so easily?
